JoinXR Support

Positioned at the top of the application window, the main menu in JoinXR is your primary navigation hub, offering quick access to essential tools and options. We encourage you to explore each menu to familiarize yourself, but don’t worry—we’ll cover all their functionality in this article.

 

 

Document

The Document menu in JoinXR is similar to the File menu in other applications, serving as the central hub for managing your JoinXR documents

  • New - Create new empty document
  • Open - Open an existing document
  • Save - Save the current document
  • Revert Unsaved Changes - Restore the document to the last save
  • Properties - View/Modify document properties
  • Close - Close the current document

Document Properties

  • Title - Name of the document
  • Collaborators - Add/Modify/Remove individual document permissions 
  • Organization Permissions - Modify organization-wide permissions
  • Allow device caching - Improve load time by storing the document content on the device

Add

The Add menu lets you add all types of content to the document

  • Label - Callouts and titles
  • Note - Useful for comments
  • Image - Diagrams, product photos etc
  • PDF - Multiple page pdfs for product datasheets or brochures
  • Video - Embedded videos for demonstrations or promotional content
  • Model - 3D objects to showcase products or designs
  • Remote Rendered Model - Complex models that are too detailed to render on device
  • VNTANA Model 

Edit

  • Copy - Copy selected object
  • Paste - Paste from the clipboard into document
  • Duplicate - Duplicate the selected object
  • Delete - Delete the selected object
  • Preferences

Exit Edit Mode
