JoinXR supports various 2D content types, including Labels, Notes, Images, Sketches, and PDFs.
Labels
Labels can be added to a meeting via the Content section at join.fracturereality.io or when wearing a headset.
When creating labels wearing a headset, you can use speech-to-text on device using the Tools menu. An option to Dictate will appear once a label has been added.
Labels have a text box and an optional 'kite string' you can use to attach them to other objects in the meeting. Once added to the meeting you can modify the position of the label's kite string as seen in this video.
Notes
Notes are just a simple piece of text in a text box. They're useful for quick ideas and reminders. As with Labels (above) they can be added to a meeting via the Content section at join.fracturereality.io or when wearing a headset.
Images
JoinXR supports .png and .jpg image formats up to 4096 resolution. However, using smaller images will improve document performance.
Images can be added to a meeting via the Content section at join.fracturereality.io.
Sketches
The sketch tab lets you create an image object from a free-hand sketch. It works best when accessing the Content section at join.fracturereality.io on a touchscreen device like an iPad.
PDFs
PDF documents of multiple pages are supported. Load times on device will be proportional to the size of the PDF and the resolution of images embedded within it.
Unlike other content types, the web view shows no preview for PDFs, simply select the file and click Add.
